Dear Destiny; When...oh when will it happen in our world that all persons are treated as equal, as valued, as respected, as the next--regardless of age, gender, race, creed, colour, or who you love? Or where you live. Just everyone as a 'person'?
I discovered your newsletter through the Writers Office Hours. I loved your piece. We're all looking for a bit of magic in our lives so this post just hit home! :)
Dear Destiny, Reaching the half-century mark - especially during the pandemic - triggered something in me. I am starting to shed my fears, embrace my roots and redefine myself as an artist first & foremost. What advice do you have for life transitions?
Also, would you be willing to give voice to this question in the Destiny Typewriter voice mail? I’m cooking up a Destiny audio piece on transitions and it would be perfect for it. If you’re not comfortable with doing that, I can get a friend to record the question instead. Thanks for your question!
Hi Ami - sounds great, I'm happy to support! Do you want me to read my comment verbatim or say something more ad hoc? Can you please send the voicemail info/link? I'm also working on "Transitions", 4 new expressionist works in water-soluable oil; part of my ongoing pool water series. Started with "Autumnal Creep" & you can likely guess what comes next...
Thank you SO much!! You can record however you like - read it or be more spontaneous - you can even do more than one take if you like. I’ll put the link in this reply. Your new work sounds amazing!!!! http://amimckay.com/destiny-typewriter/
Hi Ami! I popped into a super quiet room and just recorded my original & a second, somewhat spontaneous second question. Just me, or is listening to your own recorded voice the weirdest thing ever? Fascinating too, because as I writer I never hear my words spoken. Things that make you go hmmmmm... All my best, Dawn
Ami - may I just say that you are brilliant. I love everything about this post. Now I am going to go make a big pot of soup and think of a question for Destiny. Thank you for your brain and your heart.

Love it I would love to come across a typewriter to ask a question
Hopefully one day I’ll be able to actually set up a Destiny Typewriter “in the wild.”

Thanks, Linda!! 🥰
I do hope I can figure this out
I do like to write and will give my mind a push to find things from this wonderful place to live
Very interesting and readable. I am sure I will enjoy belonging
Thanks for being here, Beverly!!
Just what I needed on this cold blustery day, a bit of magic and wondering... Keep enticing, teasing and moving us. Gratitude.
